Movies, Music & Art If it's a good movie, I'm watching!

Vikrant Massey was born on April 3, 1987, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Known for his ability to do more with less, Massey has delivered magical moments on screen, particularly in projects where he had limited screen time—a trait common among gifted actors. Widely recognized as one of the most talented actors in India, he gained popularity through his successful stint in the TV show "Balika Vadhu," which aired on Colors TV.

Massey made his Bollywood debut in Vikramaditya Motwane's "Lootera" (2013), starring alongside Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha. His breakthrough came with Konkona Sen Sharma's directorial debut, "A Death in the Gunj" (2016), where he portrayed a shy student. The film and his impeccable performance received critical acclaim, earning him the 'Best Actor' award at Caleidoscope Indian Film Festival (2017) and a Critics' choice 'Best Actor' nomination at Filmfare Awards (2018).

His notable films include "Dil Dhadakne Do" (2015), "Half Girlfriend" (2017), "Lipstick Under My Burkha" (2016), "Ginny Weds Sunny" (2020), "Dolly Kitty and Those Twinkling Stars" (2019), and "Cargo" (2020). Vikrant's performances in these films have been applauded by both audiences and critics.

In the digital space, Massey has left a mark with web series like "Rise" (2017), "Mirzapur" (2018), "Broken But Beautiful" (2018), "Made in Heaven" (2019), and "Criminal Justice" (2019), for which he won the 'Best Actor' at the Critics' Choice Shorts & Series Awards (2019).

Apart from his acting prowess, Vikrant Massey is also a trained contemporary Jazz dancer and has worked with renowned choreographer Shiamak Davar. He boasts an exciting lineup of upcoming movies, including "Haseen Dillruba" (2021), "14 Phere" (2021), "Yaar Jigari," "Mumbaikar" (2023), and "Love Hostel" (2022), collaborating with major production banners.

One of the best performance of the year 2023!

Role of a lifetime as Manoj Kumar Sharma, a young lad from the Chambal region who is so inspired by a policeman, that he aims to become one himself. Yet, what are the odds? Too many, if you count. Vikrant Massey is captivating to watch, finally able to use his body language to drive the underdog story without being forced. It's not the showy, predictable turn, but one that is understated about the character's stubbornness and zeal. So much so that when a policeman remarks, "Chhote se ho, par dum hai tum mein!" it instantly rings true. I cannot imagine any other actor who would bring that infectious charm as Vikrant Massey does in 12th Fail. He deserves full marks.

Massey's journey in the entertainment industry is a testament to his sincerity, talent, and steady ascent. His integrity and impactful performances across films, web series, and television have earned him a dedicated fan base.
